About the project:

During the two years project, Bright Horizons teachers and pupils will be learning about the basics and advanced concepts of computer programming through various workshops, lessons and activities. The principal aim of the project is using game based learning and coding to improve pupils learning outcomes for all subjects. While doing this, our pupils will also develop thinking skills like logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.

We will investigate the concepts of AI and coding, compare differences in the different countries, produce a handbook of guidelines for primary teachers and lesson plans on AI and coding using game based learning.We will investigate the concepts of AI and coding, compare differences in the different countries, produce a handbook of guidelines for primary teachers and lesson plans on AI and coding using game based learning.

We have the great opportunity to be working with the following partners on this project: Atermon, (Netherlands) Aknow, (Greece) RTU, (Latvia) Inercia, (Spain) and Alter Edu, (Italy).

Some of the success criteria are:

-Creation of guides about AI and coding concepts. Plus an AI-COSMIC Handbook, including lesson plans, aimed at Primary teachers.

-Minecraft Game world development and content. Instructional Material and Guide, aimed at parents.

-450 new subscribers to play the new game, with certification. Translated into all partner languages.

-Promotional activities including a new website.
